Visit to the recently renovated The Tree, Crawley Museum, including behind the scenes tour of the museum and tea and biscuits.

The new Crawley Museum  has been sensitively restored following a Heritage Lottery Fund grant to improve hertiage in Crawley.  Using The Tree and The Tree Annexe was seen as a great opportunity to improve heritage in Crawley with its central location, architectural quality and preserve a Grade II listed building.  The Annexe fitted out to house the Education Room and the link provides a welcoming environment for visitors with a temporary exhibition to showcase the talent and diversity of Crawley. The biggest object going on display will be the Rex Forecar which was kindly donated to the museum by Rex Shaw.   The increased size of the new museum will also enable more of Crawley’s historical items to be displayed.

Time: Meeting at 2.30pm at Crawley Museum.
