While looking up a fact for someone on Saturday last, I saw a reference to an article on William Albery and Horsham Museum published in the Sussex County Magazine. The article did not say anything not already known, but the image of the Museum's garden taken in 1954 is one not seen before. The photograph does resolve the query I had over why the edge of the tile hanging above the garden door looked so rough. As the picture shows, there was an arched wall that joined across the garden at this point. This wall was probably taken down when the fire escape was installed in the 60s/early 70s, before listed building status was given to the Grade 2* building.
