School workshops
School workshops run by our Education Officer offer talks and handling sessions with a selection of high historical value items enabling greater interaction between the objects and students. The most popular topics include World War I, World War II, Toys, Egyptians and Victorian Life, and talks can be tailored to meet an individual school's requirements. A visit from our education officer will bring history to life, capturing the childrens' imagination.
Workshops can be held either at your own premises or, if you wish to increase the benefit to your students, at the Museum when a walking tour of the museum can be included.
The talks and workshops are offered either by the hour or as an enrichment package (whole or half day visit).
A bit about our education officer Helen Clark. Helen has 40 years experience of teaching, from Nursery to year 6, enabling her to ensure her sessions are always at the correct level, whilst her enthusiasm captivates attention and combines learning with enjoyment.
Helen's range of talks and walks covering the interesting pre-history of the Horsham area to the 1960s shops and surrounding ountryside can be enjoyed by the young and 'not so' young alike. Her walk around the Causeway has been enjoyed for several years by the Spanish exchange students from Collyer's.
For more information or to book a talk or enrichment day please contact Helen Clark on 07802 196458 or email chockelle@hotmail.com.
